Please try the following solutions:
1) You may also want to check your 'Sound' settings -
Control Panel > Sound > select Speakers and then Properties > Advanced.
If the Default Format is at 24bit, 48000Hz or higher, lower this setting to 24bit, 44100Hz
(normally 48000 Hz should be as low as you need to go).
If this helps the game has a low end audio.
2) Disable the sound device or switch it to another sound device temporarily and see if it will help.
3) Download the latest DirectX update from:
