Yes having a tool of some form or even just having the data output would be great!

And it doesn't need to be real time, even an add-on that can export save file's data would be useful.

I poked David about this feature in another thread somewhere a couple of weeks ago, and he suggested creating a thread w/ voting thingy in the 'Suggestions' sub-forum.

I've been intending to develop a mock-up tool with some of the features I mentioned in this thread, so I could take some screenshots of it, as I felt pictures would be more effective in getting people to support the idea than just words, but I haven't got round to it.
This user will not complain about the UI until 9th July 2020.

I think there's a few features that would be good in an analysis tool for CapLab:

Query Builder
It would be cool if people could create and execute customised queries on a game state's data. E.g...
Show me all Furniture products
That require less than three manufacturing inputs
With all manufacturing inputs available to any corporation
By any company
In any city with a real wage rate of more than 60.0
That has less than two current producers
That has less than four current retailers
With a brand of more than 25.0
... and generates nice graphs and charts of the info.

Alerts
You could then take the query idea further, and have the analysis tool alert people when certain conditions are met. For instance, I like to buy-up little bits of real estate that become for sale as the game goes on, but the only way to find out when a building goes on sale is to keep checking the 'Firms' page and pick the correct categories. If I could create an alert on...
Any apartment or commercial building
That is not owned by my corporation or my subsidiaries
In any city
With a real estate demand of more than 25.0
That is for sale
With a market value of less than my corporation's cash
That has a current occupancy of more than 65%
In a location with a customer demand index of more than 40.0
... and have it flash or something to alert me as soon as it goes on sale in the game, that would be so much easier!

Reminders/Planning Budget
It'd also be neat if you could set-up future actions you intend to perform in the game, like a form of planning. For example, you could tell the analysis tool that you plan to open seven more department stores in seven cities in high-demand areas, and it could figure-out the current average cost of stores in these cities in-game, and show you a predicted balance sheet and income statement that reflects how it would appear if you were to execute those actions in-game (i.e. your additional costs and profit from the stores), to help you make decisions.
