Crash while starting Capitalism Lab Post-Release Beta

Post by crazybernie2020 »

Hi,

I have a problem while trying to run Capitalism Lab Post-Release Beta.

As soon I try to start capmain.exe the game throws an error.

"Error Accessing the User Documents folder for save games Game interrupted"

I've tried the following:
Uninstall the game --> Reboot --> Re install
Uninstall the game --> Remove all references from appdata --> Reboot --> Re Install
Compatibility wizard
Run the game as admin

In all cases the problem persists.

Try looking in the save game path - mine is on my one drive, so if this were to be off or if I'm not logged in then I suspect this is the error I'd get (untested tho). Folders can sometimes have wrong permissions set too.
Either way, the save game folder is the areas I'd focus my investigation on (which is different to the appdata path) and if I remember rightly that is usually under documents/my games.

The problem may be due to the Windows system not allowing Capitalism Lab to write files in your harddisk.

To resolve it, please try the following solutions:

Solution 1) Turn off the Controlled Folder Access on Windows.
For detailed instructions, please see:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-hk/hel ... s-security

Change the setting from On to Off.
