In the late game it was very common for companies to develop their own neighbourhoods, that completely lock us out, it would be nice to be able to at least try to buy that land, making offers like we do for stock and firms, also they could treat our land as oublic land and try to buy it, and whe they do prompt us.
The reason why i think that is importat is when playing real state, there is a game of waiting for land appreciation, but the way it currently is you either develop everything yourself, or sell small bits of land early in the hopes of AI develloping it. It would be very nice (and realistic) to be able to hold that land, and when the ai want to develop it have them offer you to buy it. The same goes for AI land, it would be nice to be able to offer to buy their land, and if they refuse offer a x% premium.
This would make real estate extra polished and way more viable and smooth to play.
Buy Competitor's Land, and have them try to buy yours.

More Could Be Done with Land
Being able to buy and sell land to and from competitors would be interesting - but I feel even more could be done in this aspect of the game, like leasing land to businesses
