We have investigated it. It is not a bug.

When you set up a new factory and purchase the raw materials, the freight costs are added to the factory's income statement as expenses, but the raw materials are not yet registered as expenses, because the products are not yet sold.

You will only see raw materials as expenses when the product that they are made of are sold, appearing as revenue on the income statement. Otherwise, it will not be accurate for the income statement to reflect the true operating profit. In other words, when the revenue is $0, the raw materials are treated as inventory in the balance sheet, instead of expenses.

well, it's a very nice explanation.
I mean, yeah, it's alright of freight cost = freight cost + raw materials cost as inventory which is very convenient to do it like this way,
but just wondering that is any possible to show its separately ? ? like

A. freight cost = pure freight cost
B. raw materials cost as inventory (in firm) = raw materials cost as inventory

So, we can easier to know what's exact expenditure of freight costs in any firm and won't get mistake as a CEO,
should we know what's exact expenditure of freight costs in any firm if it too high ?
and as a result, we can know it's time to swap goods to sell, or even decide to close down the firm.

Furthermore...make a wish for more detail reports

C. raw materials cost (being transit) = raw materials cost as inventory
D. total raw material cost = B+C

When you runs the firm for a few months, you will see that freight costs will be reduced to a fraction of the raw material costs on the income statement.

If there's a pre-calculation system before open a firm, that'll be Awesome! David.
the biggest problem is we don't know how much total costs to running a firm.
there's many types of products to sell on shops,
also, there's many types of products could be produce in factory.

So, we need to know what type of product we can afford to manufacture or sell,
because we can " NOT " set how many quantities of products we purchase on shop,
and how many raw materials we purchase for factory...
we only can STOP its purchase before we run out money...
that's the main issue, man

or If there's a slider of " Total Purchase % " in factory, that'll be AWESOME too ! David. :D
