Merger causes 40B bond creation

Attached is a save game that I'm currently playing. If you open it up and acquire and merge with Touch Base, the game creates a $40 billion bond that's due in 4 years (created with a 5 year period, but due in 4).
Touch base doesn't have this bond before the merger, and I don't see any obvious reason for it's creation. Maybe I'm missing something, though? Merging with Trio Unison doesn't seem to be a problem.
