Suggestion for Economics

Post by anjali »

currently in the game it doesnt really have an impact when i take over a real estate company and let it go bancrupt after taking any assets out i like to keep and gained a profit high enough to cover the costs of the take over. the only way of getting rid of the public buildings and wild placed appartments.

what i wanna line out is that once this company gets wound up all public buildings and ALL apartments cease to exist but factories gonna still produce in full residents dont drop when 100 appartments disappear.

it would be good if real estate, population, unemployment rate and factories play hand in hand giving the real estate a higher weigth in the game as ....

no real estate = no residents
no residents = no unemployed people to go work in factories
no workers = zero production
no residents / workers = no cash = no services = no commercial buildings needed
if there are no unemployed and enough living space you still can place more factories but they shouldnt produce anything until you get more residents which needs a job

it would make the whole game more realistic. right now you can produce as much as you want and make endless profit no matter that you have not a single employee availible. with this kinda structure you would make factories only profitable if you got the workforce availible in the town. to hire them to optimize capacity.

and that way you could build up the towns only if you develope everything be it yourself or by the AI companies as more residents = more employers = more services needed which will create demand for commercial buildings.

on the other hand if you rip down a lot of factories and therefore raise the unemployment rate, occupancy of apartments and commercials should drop and residents should leave the town to go to towns where theres work. of course a certain amount of unemployed should stay IF the social welfare services by the town is good enough and if theres no work in othwer towns either.

As for the community buildings we should have the ability to close them and at least relocate them.
