The bug has been fixed in the latest version 11.0.51. You may run the current version, then it will automatically download the patch. After the patch has been downloaded, you can just restart the game and it will apply the patch automatically.

While I was looking at the scenario again I also noticed that the player expertise is randomised as well: I think this expertise should be set to Automobiles.

I have the following script error pop up as I start the game via a shortcut on the desktop.
