The page for modifying the salaries isn't working. Can you please report?

Actually you may use a script to modify the salaries of your executives: https://www.capitalismlab.com/scripts/s ... ial-rules/

That annual salary though - still needs addressing. Nice feature David.

There are some subtle differences actually, especially when your COO is purchasing products from your own factories to sell in your retail stores.

Freight costs are expenditures that go to third parties, whereas the rest of the purchasing costs will become incomes to your factories. In other words, if you have to pay a higher cost buying from your own factories, you are actually not decreasing your profits from a company wide perspective. On the other hand, if you have to pay heavy freight costs, it does affect your company's overall profit.

Well, freight cost is a component of total cost, it would not be better to take into account the total cost?

A new setting called "Freight Concern" on the COO management policy interface.

Setting it to a lower value:
When selecting a supplier, the freight cost is not a major factor to consider.

Setting it to a higher value:
When selecting a supplier, the freight cost is a very important factor to consider.

The below screenshot shows how it looks like.
