Re: Problem with the translate.txt
Okay, I understand the problem.
you're right.
The "Download User-created MODs" I presented was translated because another "Download User-created MODs" already existed on the first and subsequent lines.
I haven't translated the first line of Japanese. And the sentence on the first line of Japanese was duplicated with the translation existing in t_game.txt, so this problem may not have occurred. And I didn't even notice.
This is a problem that David and the developers manage.
If you want to sort by publication order, it can be difficult to place the characters that overlap with t_game.txt first, as in the Japanese translation.
However, I think it is overwhelmingly faster to use the search function when searching for sentences.
So if I were you, I would stop sorting in the order of publication.
But you want to sort.
Another way to deal with this problem is to deliberately "add again" the text that comes to the top when sorted.
The Chinese translate.txt works around this bug that way. I don't know other files.
Sure, this is a bug, but it's not a problem we can't handle.
I understand that this bug exists anyway.
(It is also the issue of whether to call this a bug or a hidden mechanism.)
---
So the way to cause this bug is
(1) For example, check that "MOD Setting" is not in "trans_**.txt" and "t_game.txt".
(2) Write "MOD Setting |" on the first line of "trans_**.txt". Write "test |" on the second line. Write "~" on the third line.
(3) When I start the game, "MOD Setting" is not "test".

Re: Problem with the translate.txt
I felt that this was a mechanism rather than a bug.
And I thought you just forgot to say, "This requires a" ~ "on the first line."
However, it was a bug because it was fixed.
Thank you very much.

Re: Problem with the translate.txt
It should be noted that most of the translations have the first letter without the symbol and that this did not pose any problems in the previous versions .
I "remember" that I discovered this by chance by focusing on a specific part of the game with only the sentences concerned.
Thanks for the correction; I was just about to prepare a new version of the translations with this sign on the front line.

Re: Problem with the translate.txt
Hello. I hope your Christmas went well. Thanks again for the gift.
I wish I could translate the words "Author:" by "Auteur :" and "Filename:" by "Nom de fichier". Please note that the space before the " : " is important in French.
Also, I would like have the possibility to directly translate the country. Write now, if I want to translate, I should look at each mod and write down
It would be nice to have for example a file of type "trans_" with all the possibilities of countries and / or provinces.
The translation of these parts could then be automated, regardless of the mod used.
As you can see, it says "Small Farm". I would like translate by "Petite ferme"
Thanks again.

When you want to build, there is no problem with the type of farm. Unfortunaly, it's stay "Small Farm" when it's smalll, medium or large.
Thanks again.

Re: Problem with the translate.txt
In the latest version 6.7.04 (https://www.capitalism2.com/forum/viewt ... =10&t=8079), you can now add the text strings "Author", "Filename" and "version" in translate text file to translate them.I wish I could translate the words "Author:" by "Auteur :" and "Filename:" by "Nom de fichier". Re: Problem with the translate.txt
Thanks. Same to you.
How can I do that ? I can't see any modifications inside the files. Wright now, when I write inside my trans_textDavid wrote: ↑Mon Dec 28, 2020 1:51 pm In the latest version 6.7.04 (https://www.capitalism2.com/forum/viewt ... =10&t=8079), you can now add the text strings "Author", "Filename" and "version" in translate text file to translate them.
I must write exactly
Code: Select all
Author: Piermario - BG - Italy|
Auteur : Piermario - BG - Italie|
Code: Select all
Filename: RealWorld.RES|
Nom de fichier : RealWorld.RES|
Otherwise, you have to look "manually" at each mod to check this part.
To talk about something more joyful : Thank you again for these great game and your updates

Re: Problem with the translate.txt
We are doing some tests to fine-tune rafaeltodero and I have come across the famous message when you enter the wrong password...
I can't put it in trans_.txt, but it would be nice to have it in French or other languages.
Thanks again.
