Additional opportunities for the R&D and COO

Post by 3dmodel »

Provide the ability to set the desired market share for the COO for a specific product. By setting the value of 50%, the COO will reduce the price and actively advertise until it reaches the specified value in the market share, after which it will hold this position. By setting the value to 90% or higher, the COO will lower the price until it pushes competitors out of the market. On the screen, the market share is 21% and the COO no longer reduces the price and does not crowd out competitors, but simply holds the position. Though it is tuned for maximum market share and has permission to sell below cost. Brand awareness and loyalty are higher than those of competitors.

Add the ability to queue multiple studies in a row. If I understand correctly there may be 9 such windows (green arrows). Most often, both the player and the AI use the same focus for one, two or three research at the same time. The rest of the windows remain unused.

I tried adding another research center to the mod, but with more space. As a result, instead of 12 employees, it had 119, but this did not in any way affect the speed of research, although costs and salaries increased. The research speed is influenced by the character's expertise, and when using DLC, the level of education in the city and some other factors (correct if I'm wrong). This is not entirely accurate, because the difference between small and huge corporations is that large ones can attract more employees to speed up research.
The proposal is to introduce a dependence between the speed of research and the number of employees involved in it.
It can be another center with the same graphics, but with more space, or it can be in the form of a slider (red arrows). You can increase or decrease the rate of research at any time by hiring or firing a certain number of personnel. Hiring staff increases the cost of building maintenance and salaries, but decreases research time and vice versa.
