The auto patch function downloads a new patch while the game is running and it will patch the game when you starts the game the next time.

If you want to check if the patch function is working and if any patch is downloaded automatically, you may look at the "patch" folder under your CapLab game folder.

Thx for all your effort. :)

Hopefully this new update mechanism can help with patch related issues a great deal.

BTW, with this new update system, where do we find the patch change logs in the future? Will them be listed somewhere?

Patches that are released via auto patch will be available as manual patches as well.

Is there a way to turn off auto patches? I keep on losing my game as it's not the current version. Is there a link to the 2.505 version of the game so that I can download it and continue with my play? I like the new features of the beta version, but don't want to start over every time there is a patch.

On the CapLab launcher, it will prompt you whether you want to patch the game or not if a new patch has been downloaded and the new patch is not compatible with the previous version's save game. You may simply reply no to skip the patching process.

The game patched without ever prompting me or asking.

I just tested running v2.5.05B and the CapLab launcher asked me for permission before applying the patch. (Please see below screenshot).

Do you remember which version you were using before the patch?

I've seen that before and I've pushed cancel. Perhaps I pressed ok by mistake this latest time. Regardless, is there a way to get the 2.505 version? If not, would it be a problem to archive different builds so that those of us who have upgraded and didn't want to could continue playing our game? I see that the different builds are already archived, but not all it seems. Everytime a new patch or version makes save games incompatible, there should be an older version that the player can go back to.
