Did you patch it with v3.0.18D or v3.0.18? There is a code update in v3.0.18D compared to v3.0.18 that affects this.

name of the zip file i got stored on my system is CE3018D.zip

Could you do a test by installing the Release version 2.7.20 and see if it runs on your computer?

This will provide us with some hints about the cause of the problem.

2.7.20 isnt that the actual released version? just downloaded and installed that one again and yes its working fine if ya ignore the usual random ctd's on plenty different occasions .. .its annoying withthe time to always save before ya do anything at all because ya never know at which action it will crash next time.

Did you get any error messages with the CTD? If so, could you please let me know what those messages are?

Caplab 2.7.20 is working but when it ctd's theres just the usual windows message that the prograam had to be closed to an unexpected error else i would ve allready provided the details to it.
but i do remember something else that gives a 100% success rate in crashing the game ...
... go in a retail store thats operating (i,e, beef, chicken, lamb and pork meet buy+sale) open up the layout plan library and try to add this layout to the user-defined lib ... will 100% crash with error message ingame ... "error on file : layoutplan.ccp line : 511" just did it again to get the error message and it ofcourse crashed. It was a convinience store in every case. didnt try yet with other stores. curious thing as if the store is brandnew and i just add the purchase + sales units w/o linking any supply i can add the layout to the library w/o problems. in factories and farms it works well to add the operating layout to the user-def. lib w/o any trouble

regarding the beta version (3.0.18d, the error message was posted above.

/edit: i did try it just quickly in different store types (leather, apparel,footwear) and you can add those layouts to the user-def-lib w/o crash ... but every convinience store does crash. hope that helps to find the error faster.

We will get this bug fixed in the next patch.

still the same proplem under win xp pro sp3 with patch 3.0.19

theres no admin mode as my account in xp is the admin itself
