I am also getting this issue. No matter how far I advance the research or what size factory, it simply want produce consoles.
I'm getting the same problem. You also cannot produce mobile phones or most communication devices because they are not available in R&D, when will this be fixed please?

You have first to research 2G telecommunication and Lithium ion battery technology to reach almost level 15 then are you able to manufacture mobile phones.

Tried to produce - "Gas Contract" product from Public Utilities - and its produce price is getting tooooo high - local competitors want 19$ but I can only sell this product at 50$. its producing cost is too big becouse of "Turbine" (and Motor) in its producing Input. It would be better if you remove tubine from Input becouse is is enough "Natural Gas" and "Pipes".

And Piermario - could you tell me please with what program to save and how to edit/save "Product_Types.DBF" file, tried with Excel but doesn"t works?

There are 5 products that are weird or troublesome:

Cola: for some reason it is called Cola Can when it comes to reasearch, but Cola everywhere else.

Sail Boat: They require a boat engine, but Sail Boats does not have an engine IRL

Hamburger: Made from 2 kinds of meat - One kind of meat and some kind of bread would be more logical.

Coconut Milk: Made from Cocoa and Aluminium - Coconut and Aluminium would make sense.

Salmon Caviar: A manufactured product made from Caviar (which doesn't exist), Aluminium and Salt, and at the same time a Livestock Products from a Salmon Farm. - Can't decide whether the Salmon farm was supposed to make Caviar instead of Salmon Caviar, or Salmon Caviar was supposed to be an ingredient of Caviar instead of the opposite.

Coconut milk is made of cocoa and alluminium can, i think it is correct;
Caviar is raw livestock product by salmons.
Salmon Caviar is made by raw Caviar, alluminium and salt.

Burger Patties are made from Frozen Beef, Eggs and and Herbs. So they are technically mixed meat.

And Hamburger are then made from these meat based Burger Patties, yet another batch of Frozen Beef and Onions so if not 2 kinds of meat , then mixed meat and pure meat.

Here I have a Farm procducing Frozen Salmon, that I am trying to convert to producing raw Caviar, but as you can see, it is not and option.

And here it is converted, showing that it produces Salmon Caviar instead of raw Caviar:

So though Salmon Caviar according to the Manufacturer's Guide and Research is manufactured products, it is actually a Livestock Product, unaffected by Research.

According to the manufacturer's Guide, Coconut milk is made from Cocoa (the little bean from which Cacao and Chocolate are made)

and not Coconut (the fruit with a hard shell, that contains a white flesh and a milk like substance)

I didn't attempt to set up a production of Coconut Milk prior to my last post, but here I have set up a factory through the Manufacturer's Guide and as you can see nothing happens:

This actually weird because the Manufacturer's Guide should show the actual way to produce the products. But a factory set up using this plan, produces nothing.

And here I have changed the Cocoa with Cocunut, which Coconut Milk are made from IRL, but it only produces Coconut Oil, effectively ignoring the input of Aluminium.

I haven't played Cap Lab since I got a new PC, so I just recently downloaded and installed both Cap Lab 6.4.07 and RW 11.35.
And all the screenshots are taken from this new installation.
