the temporarley Idle you integrated on the buildings is sufficient if it would actually really turn them off and just lend their skills. this would make it possible to i.e. banks again ... Idle on branches, active on HQ / Idle on R$D so they dont switch always to some other research but active on factories i loved to see this implemented if it would work on CEO hehe

the "dont expand in anything" etc is working on the subsidary CEO screen where you can set all preferences for him might not be too hard to tell the game to also use the setting on the banks and insurance buildings like on other buildings or as above just get the IDLE button working on the bank buildings.

Please let me know the exact interface additions/changes you would suggest for making the CEO idle and I will forward it to the dev team for their consideration.

Hi David,

I had just been downloaded the full version v10.0.50.
Then, when i started the game, login, then CTD with 2 error notif.
1. Error creating the [Filepath.txt] on harddisk.
2. Error on file : E:\CLsrc\ilib\File.cpp Line : 737

I attach the 2 screenshot of these error.

The problem may be due to the Windows system not allowing Capitalism Lab to write files in your harddisk.

To solve it, please try the following solutions:


Solution 1) Turn off the Controlled Folder Access on Windows.
For detailed instructions, please see:

Change the setting from On to Off.

Solution 2) Are you using any anti-virus software or Windows Defender that runs in background? There is a chance that they may block the game from writing files to your harddisk. If so, please add Capitalism Lab to Windows Defender or your anti-virus software as one of its approved app.

For example, if you are using Avast, you can add Capitalism Lab's EXE file “CapMain.exe” into Avast's exception list to prevent it from blocking the game.

Solution 3) Run this program as an Administrator. To do so, right click on the Capitalism Lab program icon. Windows will display a popup window. From there, choose “Run as administrator”.

Solution 4) Are you using OneDrive? If so, please try disabling it. OneDrive may prevent the savegame files from being written to the game folder.

Just reposting this is my suggestion to add to the cities tab for mayors to see how each term went which will give a nice 4 year detailed summary, and will let our cities have so much more characters and bring a lot more world building.
