Private stock transactions

I always wondered why we needed to go public in order to trade stocks. In many corporate groups it is not uncommon for shares of subsidiaries to change hands within that group. IE a bank might own a securities company, which is also part owned by a holdings company. Ultimately both are owned by the public company, but a whole layer or stock trading is happening off the books.
Therefore I suggest devs implement internal stock trading so that we can distribute ownership of subsidiaries without going public and risking public ownership or competitors buying those shares which are intended for the subsidiaries.

Totally agree with you. There is a very limited intra-group aspect of the game / Subsidiary DLC. No intra-group loans, guarantees, services, you name it. As a transfer pricing guy I feel a real pain when thinking of how limited my interactions with subsidiaries are in the game :D

Agree with all the above and also would be nice to purchase more than 5% of a stock one at a time.
Or make those options of private share purchase and more than 5% a scriptline for people who wanna play it like that if the developers
dont wanna disturb the gameflow so people who want to can experiment with it can do it via scripts.

I went through exactly this now, I have subsidiaries in my main holding company, I want to transfer the properties of these subs to another sub. But it is not possible to do this, I would have to make it public and compete with everyone, since today I have 100% of its shares (being private)

I agree 100% with this. All assets should be transferable between entities, not only firms.
