In short to increase the supply of the product. For ex. Eletronic products needs huge amt of CPU (ratio is 1:1), you can build 4-5 factories but it gets tedious to manage....to solve this i build 5 factories and link them to 1 Big WH (5 input >> 1 Storage >> 3 Sales) and can add more on the next floor. This way i have a constant flow and even my competitors buy it.

actually this game has lots of raw material,but if iuse ware house to manage and store raw material,it would be too difficult to manage my supply chain
so how do you manage raw material?

If you're talking abt semi products then i only make materials which has high weightage in the final product and rest either from competitors/seaports or import company.

Generally it is to aid the constant flow of a product to stop bottlenecks. A warehouse will also have a higher capacity of inflow and outflow, increasing volume.

Other creative uses I've tried;
- purchase a product or range and use a private label unit for a kick-start of a brand build in retail (good early game strategy).
- stockpile resources so you can mine a resource and close the mine down faster to save running costs (more inventory slots help).
- higher priced trade sales hub, keeping your internal sales price lower to maintain your own margin. This can be very important when you have pricing agreements with a market leading position in a product.

I'm sure there are others, but they were my uses with tangible value for whatever situation I was playing.

I did have a case where I had a factory with low utilization. I set up a warehouse in other cities to import my own product. I did not want to set up new factories in the new cities and make the utilization problem worse.
