Increasing the AI limit further: What would you like?

Post by mwyeoh »

Hi all

Would you like the AI limit increased further? And if so, by how much?
Personally, Id like the limit increased temporarily just to see how the game changes

Pros:
Less monopolies, more competition, lower margins = harder game

Cons:
The list of companies will be longer though and it will take more time to browse through them.
Processing times may increase (Game may slow down further in)
Need new colour schemes (Perhaps a randomly generated RGB code?)

Actually the number of different color codes cannot be further increased, as human eyes can only recognize a limited number of them with ease.
So more companies will have to share the same color code.

Then what about double-color-codes?
Like Corp1 is Blue-White, Corp2 is Red-Black, my own is Green-Blue and so on...

I prefer realistic number of competitors - max 20-25, because the game can be really hard to achieve anything. Also in order for these 25 corporations to develop properly and thrive, we should play in more than 10 cities.

I prefer something like this:
25 competitors -
5 universal (every city, every type of bussiness)
10 specific (every city, specific bussiness or sphere- like retailing or r'n'd or tech company)
10 local (one city, specific bussiness)

Then combine that with the idea of "unlocking cities and competitors with time or/and goals" that i read in this forum, you'll get challenging and balanced gameplay.
