Six Sigma/Efficiency?

Post by lt_wentoncha »

Will there be considerations for product defect reductions (Six Sigma) and efficiency improvement mechanisms? (Well, I know R&D improves product quality, so maybe that's enough for that aspect).

Say for example I setup a vertical supply chain, there should be some type of "waste" coefficient applied to the formulas that can be reduced either with efficiency improvement spending or R&D.

Or, maybe improve factory layouts or make recommendations to improve the supply chain?

Personally, I operated under the assumption that stuff like that pretty much falls under "training and new equipment". I can consider plain-old-training to be "more skilled employees, equipment modernization, more streamlined production process, & whatever else". And I'm similarly content to assume that production defects can already fall under quality.

I'm a fan of the inside of a firm ... I mean, I quite enjoy running only a single factory at times, and seeing how efficient I can make it, or killing myself when the retailers aren't buying my stuff. But, when I think about multiplayer, all the little nit-picking inside a firm is what takes too much time from a day-to-day standpoint, if you see what I mean. I just want to click a layout template, max the training, consider a price, and I'll just glance at it a couple times a year. I'd like to keep production it as simple as possible for multiplayer's sake, if it ever returns.

improve the supply chain

i guess you are talking about the inventory turnover ratio at the ranking list

the problem in game is demand of most product is low .....when 2 or 3 or more company playing in same product market...., your factory is always over supply , yes over supply , you make more than customer willing to buy !

so in this case there is no way for you to improve your supply chain !!
