Crashes and Oddities in CapLab 2.0

Hi,
Cap II player on and off for years. Just came back to it and was thrilled to learn of CapLab. I've purchased and installed the original and also the Beta.
Foolishly

I started with the "Challenge 13" game as a test drive of CapLab and I'm failing miserably, but learning.
My points...
1) I have had several crashes to the "MS would you like to report a problem" pop-up, after which the games shuts down. Not good, but understand that the game is evolving and I'm happy to test it out in my own way.
2) I've restarted the Challenge each time, trying different strategies and in the latest I'm opened a convenience store, put two items in and now cannot do anything at all with that store. The mouse/cursor functionality seems to have gone away strictly for that store - no adjusting prices, no adding another item, no ability to sell it nor bulldoze it. Curious...
If there is a better place to report this, put it there and I'll submit anything future in that part of the forum.
Or is there a specific place to report bugs? And in a specific manner?
Keep working on this game! It is/will be great.

Hi! Uh, thanks for explaining to me that I can play both the 2.1b and 2.0 at the same time, lol. I only finished with 1 point in challenge 14, so I think I should demote myself from expert to advanced and see if I can fair better in 13.
Your post is in a good place. Personally I put beta bugs in the beta threads, and other bugs, like yours, must go here.
If you're able to recreate your current problem regarding the frozen store, I would imagine the David would request you uploading your save to Dropbox.

Please send us your computer configuration file DxDiag.txt for investigation. You may produce the DxDiag.txt file by running the Command prompt from the Windows Start menu, then type “DxDiag” on the Command prompt.
When the DxDiag window is opened, click on the “Save All Information” button at the center bottom of the window. Then send over this file as an email attachment to
info@enlight.com
More detailed instructions for generating dxdiag file:
For Windows XP users:
1. Click the Start button.
2. Click 'Run'.
3. In the open dialog box, type: 'dxdiag'. The diagnostic tool will run.
4. Click to 'Save All Information' and save "dxdiag.txt" to your desktop.
5. Attach the "dxdiag.txt" document to your support email.
For Windows Vista/Windows 7 users:
1. Click the Start button.
2. In the Search field, enter 'dxdiag'. The diagnostic tool will run.
3. Click to 'Save All Information' and save "dxdiag.txt" to your desktop.
4. Attach the "dxdiag.txt" document to your support email.

I have the same exact problems stated above! HELP!
Also, once i was inside a retail store and then double-clicked the right mouse button & the game quit to windows automatically!
Another point is the more time I spend playing the game, the more I feel that the game (& profit / cash numbers at the bottom) have become slow(er).
Thanks!

My having both the 2.0 and 2.1b on my machine was absolutely no trick on my part. I simply bought and downloaded the 2.0 and then went and grabbed the beta to put it on my machine too. At that point I realized I had two shortcuts and while seeking out the challenges realized that they are only visible in the 2.0 version when I fired it up?
Hope I have everything installed properly on my machine?

Version 2.1.00 beta use a different game data format and therefore the existing Challenge Games are not compatible with it.

Yes, I think you're fine. It simply didn't occur to me that both shortcuts work, lol.
