Game (v2.6.19 without any mods) is crashing when i move mouse cursor to left top corner of screen. Not always instantly, but usually within a minute after game starting. You can see where exactly on screenshot.

I tested the game and moved the mouse to the top-left of the screen but couldn't re-create the problem.

1) Did it scroll the city map view when you move your mouse to the top-left of the screen?

2) Did it happen when you run the game in full screen mode?

3) When Windows stated that CapMain.exe did not respond, CapMain actually didn't crash yet (if it has crashed, the CapMain app will just exited.). Were you able to press ALT-TAB at this point and see if it will change anything?

No.

Yes it freezes both in fullscreen and windowed mode.

Nothing happens when i press ALT+TAB.


I tried to delete CONFIG.DAT, but it didnt fix the problem.

1) How often did it happen? Everytime?

2) Did it happen in the previous version?

3) Did it happen when the Information Center (report) is opened?

It happens everytime now. Yesterday i started game 10 times (with different mods, and without) it freezed every time, sometimes after few seconds of playing, other time after 1-2 minutes. Today i tried 3 times it also freezed. I dont know if its my pc or game problem, but i didnt notice any strange behavior from other programs or games.

I didnt notice it in previous version. 2 days ago i patched game to 2.6.19. Maybe this is the problem, maybe i need to do a fresh install, will try it when at home.

This i will check when i come back from work. What i ususally do after game starting is zoom out and chceck all ports for goods that i can sell. I can change cities and scroll map without problems. After some time, when i decide what i want to sell, i move mouse cursor to build menu (top left corner) and then this freeze occurs (not everytime at first try tough). When i start a game and dont touch a mouse, there is no freeze.

There are actually very few changes between v2.6.18 and v2.6.19 - just two bug fixes that do not affect the interface or mouse movement code.

You may download v2.6.18 patch again and apply it to your game and see if the problem still occurs:

Patching game back to 2.6.18 fixes the problem.
