It will no longer pause.

In fact, it won't even pop up the news window and will just display the news on the stock market window's bottom area.

In addition, on the Corporate Detail Report’s Shareholders page and Owned Stocks page, you can now see the stock trading history related to the listed stocks. You may see the below screenshots.

I've mentioned this in my own post but i'm just updating the relevant posts with my own thoughts, plus its easier to chat about individual items in seperate posts.

Would it be possible to add short selling to Cap lab? I believe that it's called short selling ie been able to borrow lease shares on the basis that they will devalue in price. It works in the oppersite to shares but you don't won them you borrow them and pay for the privallage and have a time limit to use the option in. The best example is Porsche taking on hegefunds over VW shares. the hedge funds belived that VW stocks would drop, unknown to them that Porsche with there CEO that was a finacial whizz playing hedge funds at there own game. It nearly ended hedge funds as we know it and lead Porcshe to have a majority share in VW. It could of gone wrong for Porsche though and could of collaped Porsche had it gone wrong. But it would be a brilliant option to have, and allow players to play the markets as a finacial institution rather than a industrial / retail corp.

On another note in the UK we have a share proccess where if you wish to buy more than 35% of shares in a company you then have to buy them all, usually at a very high price that usually ends interest in takeovers other than the most powerfull.

Ie Krafts $19 Billion purchase of cadburys in the UK.

I would also like to see other institutions buy shares and not just the corps in the game. In the real world the Public, pension companys and finacial institutions buy shares, and I think this would really improve what is a brilliant stock market system.

My own thoughts about Cap 2 is that it's too easy to buy out another company, like i've mentioned before you can buy stocks till 75% then you have to buy it at the price of the shares at the market price, This is far to easy and usually you can buy a company and within a year or so and sometimes even before that you've paid off any debt occured.

I think an option to totally operate as individual, or private investor from the very start of the game a nice idea. Or even the ability to loose your company and carry on as an individual without company ownership. This premise could also be expanded into being asked to a part of companies board of directors or even filling one of the many officer positions, i.e. asked to become a CEO or COO at a company not in your control. I know Capitalism is mainly a company orientated game, but the idea's of more personal options of growing personal wealth and the option to start out as a private investor have been around my head since the very first version.

I really like that idea. What if I build up a strong company that makes a product. Then sell all my shares and start (or buy) another company to compete in the same, or other market. It happens in real life, and it would really be interesting to see if the AI ceo of my old company can run it as well as I did, and beat me in the competition.

This really should be implemented. All the AI characters can do it -- how difficult could it be to extend the functionality to the player?
