Not sure if you started out with the private company feature turned on. If so, try IPOing the company you first start out with (turn it into a public company, and if u want to keep it private,just buy out the shares after the IPO). Hope that helps, and they most likely will fix this in the upcoming patch. But in the meantime this fixed my problem with the stock dividend error.

This has been fixed in patch v3.0.14.
