buildings under construction

My idea: the buildings, the shops, factories etc need some time maybe 1-2-3 months to their construction, like in realty.
What do you think?

Great idea.
How in depth would this need to be though? Like would you need to buy building materials and this have an effect on the demand for those products/resources?

it seems it wasn't a very popular idea. I certainly think it would just add confusion unless you can get up the production line at the same time you actually start the building.
