hello guys,

Is there anyway to create two natural ressources different and to use them in two different recipes in order to obtain the same product?

example : COAL -> Fossil Energy
METHANE -> Fossil Energy

If I do that, i have no production for factory using METHANE.

I could differentiate the product in two sub-product but i want concurrence between them, so they have to be on the same market...

in order to have both types of fossil energy availible you would have to make 2 entries into the manufacturing dbf
but as you gonna have to give each of them a unique item code, it will be 2 different items even if they both are named fossil energy ingame, the unique item code given to them will let the game handle them seperately and in product types dbf they both get their own seperate demand etc, you could only make one of them obsolute when the 2nd one enters the market thus reducing the sales of lets say coal bassed fossils when you enter the market with methane based fossil energy, but a direct competition as a sole product with 2 different ways to produce it, doesnt look like you could do it with the current game mechanics.

yes, i think you're right, sadly...

there is many game mechanics i'll love modify : assigment off specific natural ressources at specific city, ability to define what factory can produce, or add more square (in number and diversity) to the firm organisation table.
