Hi everyone,

I tried to make one of the product to be manufacturing for much longer time than the regular speed. According to the Advanced Modding instruction (http://www.capitalismlab.com/advanced-m ... uring.html) I needed to modify PROD_SPEED value:

The production speed. The standard value is 100.
E.g. A value of 150 means that the production speed is 150% of the normal production speed.
A value of 70 means that the production speed is 70% of the normal production speed.

So, as I understand I need to change this value to, let say, 150. This should make the production time to be longer. But it DOES NOT !

I played a little bit more with this value. No matter if I changed it to 1, 50 or even 1000, I did not notice the change of the time needed the product to be made.

Is this value really set up or am I changing it wrong?

If you want it to be "longer" which I think means "slower" shouldn't it be less than a 100 in order to have the production process take longer than normal?

hmm...

if the value is increased in the .dbf the ammount of goods produced per cycle will increase, if the number is lowered, it gonna produce less of the product each production cycle.

after editing the DBF, you need to repack it into a .res file and put the .res file into your mod folder and when starting a new game you choose this mod in order for having the altered production speed. but if you increase/lower the speed you might end up with inbalancing the products which could make a factory runnng on permanent loss even at maximu level or just skyrocket the profit of the factory to insane levels or end up with a huge ressourcebottleneck as mines / logging camps can only pulling so much and a factory with too high production speed could overstretch a single mine easily.

To make it happen you need to change OQTY field:

OQTY Numeric 1 to 9999 The output quantity of the finished product.

It is not the point of this topic. I just want to change the speed of production, the costs/profits play no role here at all.
