I'm trying to find out if it's possible to start the game with only money on your bankaccount from a loan?
So really starting out with no money from yourself?

Cu guys and girls.

Since you need some assets at the start for banks to have an initial credit limit, so it's impossible to play a game with script to set your start-up capital to 0.

I think the best you can do to mimic a no cash start, is to set your start-up capital to very-low, find a city with proper land value and build your headquarter with close to the startup money (add some units to drop the cash lower than 100,000), then use up all your private fund to buy your own company's stock.

actually it's possible...

You have to use an editor like Artmoney. You can modify cash and loan with it.

Can you make a save using Artmoney to set loan number to 10m and cash close to 0, and let us test how it would be like? (I would like to see how the game would balance the "balance sheet" under such condition)

I did 10 Mio Cash and 10 Mio debt, otherwise you get bankrupt immediately.

As I suspected, the Equity absorbs the unbalanced, and forces it to 0. Thus total earning will be exactly as the negative amount of common stock.

I wonder how this would effect your own stock performance and future loan limit.

You have to invest the 10 Mio Cash into something which is immediatly profitable.
Otherwise you'll get quickly bankrupt. No further loan possible until you have a good Balance sheet.
Stock tends to Zero and no possibility to issue stock after the first month, i think.
Also if you repay the loan, you won't get a new loan, as your Balance sheet is still bad.
But as long as you have cash the Balance sheet goes under Zero without bankrupty.

I tried several different scenarios.

I tried it myself, and feel like a little less starting cash only. Not affecting the gameplay much (and this save is at 68% difficulty, which is extremely easy). The only thing looks weird is the total shareholder Equity in balance sheet went to negative before the initial investment have enough return (but still balanced though, just feels weird to have negative equity)
