I really appreciate that you make impossible to buy land with resources but you still can buy land around it to prevent ally to build a mine.
The problem is that when you buyout all land in city, resources stop appearing, I had to sell land by 1 cell in order to make resources appear again (as can be seem from screen shoot).
I think that resources should appear on purchased land as well.
