Is it me or is the game getting slower and slower after 50 years?
It runs smooth and fast in the first years, but after 50 years it starts to slow down (also at speed 5).

I have noticed the same. Not really an issue in my opinion, since you have a lot more micromanagement late game. Don't really need the game to be faster, maybe its just me though

It's an issue for me. I don't like it that way. I've played capitalism for years and I've got used to speed 5.

David, I do insist. This doesn't solve the problem. It helps a little bit, but not after about 100 years. Too slow!!!

Not just you, I think the game speed is fine as it is.

You can start a game with fewer cities (e.g. 2-4) and fewer AI (e.g. 6-7) and the game speed will be faster.

Hi David
Would disabling some of the animation effects from the game help this issue?
At the moment, things such as cars and pedestrians appearing on the streets do not really add anything to the game as it does not even reflect the customer traffic index.
Firms also have animations, such as factory smoke, the spinning ferris wheel or the subtle animations on some of the other firms such as the computer store and convienience store

When you open a report, like the manufacturer's guide, the animations in the background are already disabled.
I ran a game for 2 hours with the manufacturer's guide opened, the game advanced 100 years within that 2 hour period.
