Capitalism Lab Release version 5.7.16 patch is now available for download at:

IMPORTANT: This patch must be applied on top of version 5.7.10 or later. If you haven't installed it, please download the full version installer from https://www.enlight.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=5686


Then extract the ZIP file to your Capitalism Lab program folder. You can open your Capitalism Lab program folder by right-clicking on the Capitalism Lab game icon and select “Properties”, then select “Open File Location” to open the folder.

(The saved game files from versions older than 5.7.11 are not compatible.)

It was a false positive. I have contacted Microsoft and they have corrected the issue. FYI, below please find the response from Microsoft.

You could update your WIndows Defender based on the instructions below and then you will be able to open the patch file.

Because I'm hoping this fixes the talentarray[] crash with my RW11.34 mod in 5.7.10.

If you still encounter the crash, we will investigate the problem.

Could you please provide us with your save game file and let us know the following?
1) The exact steps for triggering the bug with the save game

You can find save game files of Capitalism Lab from:
C:\Users\<your user name>\Documents\My Games\Capitalism Lab\SAVE

You may email the save game file to us at info@enlight.com.

Downloaded and installed 5.7.14 patch but my opening screen still shows 5.7.13... What gives?

edit> checked the extraction and the files in the .zip file overwrote correctly in the folder(s) and I updated Windows Defender before starting.

edit> did an uninstall and fresh reinstall with the 5.7.14 patch and it still shows 5.7.13... Did you forget to change the opening screen?

Did a complete uninstall, including deleting the Capitalism Lab folder from the ...\AppData folder. Rebooted. Installed fresh full install which stated 5.7.12. Then I installed the patch, which had the same 3 files as yesterday with the same exact date stamps, btw. Came up with 5.7.13 being displayed.

I just tested it by downloading the patch v5.7.14 and applied it. The game showed the version number 5.7.14 correctly.

Please try downloading it again as the CDN might need some time to update.

Nah, I've already spent 30 minutes trying various things including above. I'll just wait for a 5.7.14 or later full installer. "The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over again and expecting different results"
