I am using a script to start the game in 1900, but digital (software/internet/telecom) companies start popping up in a month of the beginning of the game. How is this possible and what is the workaround for this?

Shouldn't be software, internet and digital products & services not be available until a particular date?

Internet was invented somewhere in 1983, PC maybe in 1968 or so.

For players using script to start the game in 1900 I think these should be disabled until a certain game year is reached.

Somewhat similar to Smart Phones needing to be invented if you start the game at 1990.

I would suggest that you create a poll for your suggested feature. If there is a large enough number of users interested in it, there will be a higher chance that the development team will implement it.
