I don't know if any one faces the same issue as me. However, real estate companies are always limited in their expansion when I use the city economic DLC and when there is a real estate focus it still will not build much apartments / commercial buildings, even though there is like (90) commercial demand.

I tried to put billions of cash in my own subsidiary company as well to see if maybe it is because of weak competitors, so I put an aggressive CEO to see whether it would make much of a difference. Still they do not buy / build any apartments or commercial buildings and I have to do everything manually.

Is there a way to fix this? I would like more competition in the real estate sector.

Note: I tried this without any mods, and with piermario's real world mod and both the same. When I try to play without the city economic dlc but using any combination of dlcs and different mods it works good.

Please provide me with your save game where the AI is inactive in real estate. We will look into it.

It's not one particular save game, I mean I can start one now with city economic dlc on and basically there is little to no action in real estate, but when I play with city economic dlc turned off it works okay.

I have the same things happening in my game.

I started a new game and let it run for a number of years. The AI corporation focused on real estate was able to build a decent portfolio of rental properties and is profitable. The supply and demand of housing in all the cities are at equilibrium. Attached is a screenshot from the game.

If anyone can provide me with your save game where the AI is inactive in real estate. We will look into it.

Here is a save file where I would buy another company destroy all the crap they owned and turn them into a real estate focus'd subsidiary.
99% of the time they would do nothing for years upon years. Almost all of their buildings I built myself. In some cases they are sitting on over $1 billion

The dev team will work on improving the AI on real estate.

I have two saves :

This one is where the AI doesn't build any real estate and I tried buying out companies of real estate, and so on with city economic dlc on (almost all of the apartments / commercial buildings are built by me)

This one on the other hand, I built very little apartments and the AI just builds on its own. (everything is the same, mods / script and so on, but without city economic dlc)

Note: one thing I noticed is the housing needs when using city economic dlc is almost always close to 0, while without city economic dlc it varies, sometimes even (100) etc, and most of the buildings the AI builds are actually apartments, rather than commercial buildings
