The reason for the slowness is the improved AI, which leads to an increased number of AI firms, which in turn requires more CPU processing time.
It is advisable not to start a game with more than 4 cities and aggressive AI, in order to maintain a reasonable game speed at the later stage of the game.

So, is this going to be fixed for the full release of Cap Lab? One of the selling points to me is the 7 cities and 30 AI players.
I'd like to be able to use the features that are programmed into a game that I purchase. I understand we're in your beta phase, so I'm asking if it will be optimized by the time that you release the xpack so that it's feasible to use 7 cities, 30 AI's on agressive.
