Bug? 1600+ Gain% immediately after buying stock

Environment: V5.8.05. No DLC enabled. No mods. New custom game -> Difficulty 4 (to get Macro Economy enabled) -> Start. Stop the time, go to Stock Market (F4) and buy more stock in own company.

After starting a new game I went to the Stock Market and used my player money to buy shares in my own company to get more than 50 Owned%. Immediately after that I noticed that that my stock in the company has gained 1,603 percent in no time! See first screenshot.

After a while I realized that my initial 50 percent in my first company has had a cost of $0.00! See second screenshot. Like I have got these for free from someone, not using my own "saved" money at pre-game-start times. In this case I should have collected $16 millions prior to investing into an own company ($15M as start-up money in my company and keeping $1M for other investments).

Wouldn't it be better if the the shares that the player owns at game start is treated as a (personal) cost of let's say $10,00 per share? Although tthese shares are bought prior to game start. That would make the calculation of Return On Investment" in my first company a lot more accurate. Counting the stock I got for free when calculationg gain on my investment seems wrong. Better to let the initial stock have a non-zero "Avg cost".

ADD: A more realistic Gain% in this case woruld be around 6 percent. Average cost $15,000k + $998k = $15,998k. Market value immediately after purchase $16,995k. => Gain% 6.23%.

ADD: And as long as I do not buy any more shares in my own company (AvgCost remains at $0.00) the Gain% remains at Infinity. With a non-zero AvgCost for the pre-game investment the Gain% will follow actual relative market value changes since game start in a more realistic way.

It is a bug that was with us forever. I think that no one reported it since it does not affect gameplay.

Now someone has reported it even if the error has been there since the Trevor Chan days. An error giving garbage in report data. But if noone uses the Stock Returns report it might as well be removed. Better with no report data than wrong misleading report data noone (but me) reads.
