Hey,
So I'm wondering...
1/ What's the point of having a CTO or a CMO, because the COO seems to be able to do all three? And when you deactivate "Change R&D Projects" from the COO, it also deactivates it from the CTO screen.
2/ If I understand correctly, if I do not assign any firm to the COO, he does nothing? In that case, what happens when a COO is assigned to a firm; is the CMO acting on this firm as well?
3/ What does "better supplies" mean? Quality or price/cost ratio? Same for "better products".

Uhuh, so I guess there are answers somewhere else? Can't find anything on Capitalism 2 manual.

1- If the CTO and/or the CMO have better skills in research/advertisement than your COO does it could make sense to hire them.
2-Yes. The COO manages the firm, the CMO will manage the advertising units in your firms automatically.
3-That will change suppliers when a "better" one appears. They do a good job overall, but I think they lag a bit too much sometimes.

Ok thanks! I'm going to assume in 3/ that "better" means "better quality".

"better" means better overall ratings. You can see the overall rating of a product on the Pick Supplier window.

Ohhh, ok! Well, that's very unclear in the game. Thanks for the answers.

Whilst we are on the topic of "C" officers, a small request:
Can we make it so that their salary requests are either sensible or are converted to stock options or something in the latter stages ? MY CMO is currently earning 700 million a year which seems a bit ridiculous, but I really don't want to micromanage advertising, so I pay up. It might be more realistic if we were able to offer them a portion of stock instead every time they make a request, which would hopefully leave the salary at a reasonable level much longer...
