Did you often encounter the problem of running out of space to build factories in cities?

Just to add, some time ago i added poll for multiple floors in factories, farms etc, that can solve some/most of space problems too. The reason i did it was exactly becouse lack of space in some situations.

I would like to add context to playing the vanilla game. Warehouses really changed the way I played the game. Instead of using warehouses to ensure ample supply for items with a growing season, I used warehouses for almost everything, including linking 4-5 factories to a single warehouse, storing raw materials, for storing semi-products.

Factories eat space. Warehouse eat even MORE of the same space and that was true before I ever played with the RealWorld Mod. Once I started playing with that, the space limitations became more problematic and that is why I see posts asking for the multi-floor warehouses, factories, and R&D Centers. Here is mine: http://www.capitalism2.com/forum/viewto ... 398#p20398. I only requested multi-floor warehouses.

I'm hoping this poll leads to serious consideration of implementing the multi-floor system in warehouses and factories.

I introduced a slightly novel way of saving space by just downsizing the factory sizes. Problem is the AI doesn't really see the benefits of all of the factories as they are numbers wise (eg the upgraded medium and small factories), so he continues to blot the landscape. Nonetheless I'm trying to reduce the footprint of all the buildings so as to save space and hopefully I'll mange to finish that project at some point.....
