Poll: Automate prices based on rating. Vote if you like.
Adjusting every single price is way to labor intensive, but the COO's Max profit margin vs market share line don't give me the control i want. I thought of a solution to this, being able to lock a desired rating for that product, so instead of choosing a price, i can choose a rating i want to sell my product at, and lock that, so the game auto adjust my price when brand and quality changes, similarly to how it's done with real estate, or even better would be to be able to lock as rating relative to city average, so i could lock it x points higher or lower than city average. Ideally i wouldn't need to transfer my firms to COO to do this, as i would only transfer them to him if i want him to really manage other aspects, but i understand if you think only the COO should be able to do that for balancing reasons, so this would be a option on COO screen, or only on COO controlled stores.

I pay a COO millions per year to manage prices and advertising. When I create subsidiaries, I pay a CEO millions per year to manage prices at that level. If prices could be auto managed way you suggest, would the need need for CEO/COO exist unless you allow one to expand in whatever manner they choose?
I can appreciate the desire for fine control over price based on something the player can relate to, i.e., a number of rating points above or below the city average. The slider is abstract because you can't see the rating change as when you manually adjust the price.
I can see value in your suggestion. I would say this type of control should be reserved for the CEO/COO at the player's direction for balance purposes.

So you believe for the player company we should be able to control prices on the COO tab, and for subs we should be able to do this through their CEO?mrgarrettscott wrote: ↑Tue Feb 18, 2020 5:50 pm I pay a COO millions per year to manage prices and advertising. For the type of control you are requesting, yes. Specially, have CEO/COO adjust prices according rating points above or below city average. If the player had that control for himself, there wouldn't be a need for COO/CEO unless you trust them to expand in a logical way, which I don't.So you believe for the player company we should be able to control prices on the COO tab, and for subs we should be able to do this through their CEO?

Actually there would, CEO's for automating expansion, and COO's for their expertise, managing training and advertising.mrgarrettscott wrote: ↑Wed Feb 19, 2020 7:41 pmFor the type of control you are requesting, yes.
