Great game! It also has got huge potential.
My advice to developer, don't mind the graphics. Mind the game play,as game play is everything.
The games i've played during the last years doesn't seem to have a boom bust effect. Meaning prices continue linear 30-45 degrees upwards. Stocks, commodities(raw materials) and land value.
In the data screen(city information) it cycles between "stable", "recession", "booming" and "growing"(i think).
The macro economics doesn't affect my games realistic.
- Stocks are always overpriced
- Land value always keep rising
- commodities also keep rising
- I would like to see recessions where stock prices get low and under valued.
- Commodities fluctuate based on supply and demand, during a recession typical most of them go low because of less demand.
- companies go bankrupt(i've never seen one do), the market situation(environment) is way too good.
Guide:
Target inflation rate is 2% per year in the developed world. What CB want least is run away inflation. Rates are adjusted to keep inflation steady.
Boiling economic environment is cooled off by increased interest rates, inflation follows those economic conditions(according to text books

Epilog:
I always play with maximum corporations and players to have most realistic competition. Please ad more. And please make them more sector focused. Too many corporations are doing a bit of everything.
Solution - make 200 corps, yes they'll be small, but over time mergers will occur, so monopoly game restored

One of the main reason, there is limitation to play the market if you just want to play the stock market(now also bonds, good job with that)
If you are lucky and get one stock in the start that is valued 3000 times the initial buy price 5 years later, you'll be ok. But you cannot sell it, because it's not a top or bottom. It's just rising.
