Logically , you are correct.. HOWEVER, before you can control all the Media, you will need $$$..
If you start game at diffuclity of 200% , you wont have any enough money to buy even 2 Media.. (if you cheat, you control all )
And also after you control all the Media, AI will auto build new media.. It wil be in loop never end..
So the conclusion is play hard die hard

True that. I'm playing with 208% difficulty and it is very hard to monopolize the media market.

Personally, I'd rather not see the AI build new media. To me being able to buy up the media in the cities is a real goal for me, and having it diminished by the AI just building new media outlets after selling me theirs seems like it cheapens the overall feeling of buying media outlets. They should be a real prize to work for, not just "another company" to own, just my opinion.
