Yearly sales recap

I thought it might be interesting to have a newspaper/magazine type popup that covers a few changes around sales & markets - kind of an interactive (ie clickable) one pager that throws out a few headlines and stats.

I would mock it up graphically, but I'm no good at that, so broadly it would look like this (changeable items are in brackets, the rest is fixed text):

Yearly CapLab Gazette - read all about it !!

<Stacking Blocks> takes the lead in <global> market share battle in <Desktop Computers>
Stacking Blocks - 55%
Compass Point - 29%
Speedy Avion - 16%

<Laptop Computers> launched this year by <Stacking Blocks> amid much fanfare. <400,000> units already shipped to <London> as analysts say market set to grow internationally.

<Stacking Blocks> takes the lead in the <Retail> sector. <97> stores already opened across <11> locations worldwide.
Stacking Blocks - 97
Compass Point - 53
Speedy Avion - 26

<Stacking Blocks> net profit up <37%> as revenue rises for <third> year running. Market Cap now stands at <45 billion>.
Stacking Blocks - 45 Billion
Compass Point - 28 Billion
Speedy Avion - 17 Billion

You can pretty much setup whatever elements you'd want for something like this. I feel it would make you feel that little bit more connected and invested in the competitive situation as a whole, particularly as sometimes its hard to follow what everyone is up to if there are a lot of competitors out there. An interactive newspaper, or a periodical special report (eg Special Report on the retail market in London) could add some real flavour.

I voted "Yes" - your idea is good and I like it!

Only 1 suggestion: make these messages like a "financial magazine" or a bulletin of sorts in the left-hand menu. Like with an icon with name "Financial News" and it will show data like the one you mentioned, and also be like in-game Forbes or Fortune rankings at the end of the year. Like "top 100 richest people", "top10 fastest growing corporations" and so on. The devs can then add whatever they want it in, and players can access it during game and see what they need to see. Also in future updates of the game, we may have a poll about what kind of "articles" to be added there. I've played a lot of the Football manager game and they represent those kind of news in such form - like a sports newspaper/magazine. The usual news you receive are always present in front of you, but if you want, you can click and check who "the best goalkeeper of the year" is, even if that has nothing to do with your semi-amateur team at the moment.

Question: How should the game determine which product class to cover in the yearly sales recap, as there are tens of product classes?

Either randomly or by the amount of competition or $'s in it - so products that have 3 or more competing might be good to highlight or ones that have a high overall value. Maybe it could be determined by the sector the player makes the most money in...

bence çok iyi bir fikir,
raporda
1-ürün yerine ürün segmenti olabilir mi?
2-ciro dağılımı 20/80 kuralına göre yapılabilir mi?
şimdilik bu kadar...
