Sooo almost all the products in the game are pretty well balanced for the product class they are in but then there is ice cream ...

For some reason ice cream sells 3 to 4 as much in total revenue as any other snack product class item making just ice cream take up half of the total revenue of this product class alone.

Checking the game files, it says each consumer demands 32 units of icecream per year per person ... the image of ice cream is that of a bucket of icecream too ... Now I do love me some ice cream myself, not gonne lie, I'd eat it a whole lot if it didn't add to my poundage but 32 buckets of icecream seems very excessive.

Ice-cream according to the game files sells for an average of $5 so that's 32 units x $5 = $160 dollars market per citizen.

Compare that to the other products in the same class with their marketshares:

• yoghurt: 20 units x $1,5 = $30

• chocolate bar: 23 units x $1,5 = $34,5

• cookies: 9 units x $4 = $36

• Chewing gum: 30 units x $1 = $30

• Total Marketshare for the entire snack product class ( - ice cream) = $130,5

All of the above products in the SNACK product class seem fairly balanced and in line with each other.

And then there's

• ice cream: 32 units x $5 = $160

Now I did some quick google searches and it turns out that global ice cream sales are actually quite comparative with yoghurt sales and so there is absolutely no reason why ice cream is literally so thicc in revenue potential. It should be on par with the other products in this class when one looks at real life data from global revenue sizes. It also seems to artificially buff this class of products to be exceptionally good to have expertise in and makes it slightly OP to focus into.

I simply recommend that ice cream be reduced to an ordinary demand number more in line with the other products in the same class. In my own mod I've modded ice cream down to a demand of only 7 units from the original 32. This leaves ice cream with a market share of roughly $35 which is on par with chocolate bars. I don't think it was intentional that this one product seems to jump out as much as it does in the game ... I'm wondering what other people think about this or whether this was left like this intentionally.

I completely agree. You can get rich quickly by selling ice cream, which is out of the overall balance of food products.

I will ask the programmer to fix it in the next patch.
