Poll : payment of the player with stock option

Post by paulwoman »

As far as I know, the only way to get paid, as far as I know, is to take a sum of money as CEO and count on the dividends.

As far as I know, the only way to get paid, as far as I know, is to take a sum of money as CEO and count on the dividends.

Moreover, the player only has the possibility to increase the % of the company by buying himself on the stock market or with share buybacks of the company itself.

I would like to see the possibility of giving a kind of stock option as compensation.

This way, when the company makes a capital increase, there would be the possibility of giving all or part of the shares directly to the player.

Ah yes legalized fraud

Well since it's legalized in today's business world I don't see too big of a problem with it if it is meant to keep the simulation realistic

You do realize you can also get paid as the CEO by setting yourself a salary in the HQ right? I always keep my salary at either $0, 100,000 or 1,000,000 depending on the companies success and if I am the private owner. Of course I max that shit out if I run it with majority stock investor money. That only makes sense.

You do realize this is tantamount to fraud right? As a CEO you are technically still only an employee of the company which is owned by the stockholders, theoretically speaking, if you reward yourself with more stock simply for doing your job of making the business profitable, that is like taking away ownership of other stockholders just for doing the job you were hired to do in the first place.

The moral and justifiable way to do this before the US fucked up the financial system is to use your salary to buy stock and increase your shareholder part the regular way. To simply give yourself stock for a job is technically fraud because where are you going to get that stock from? That's right, you're using the money of the owners to buy out owners so you can give yourself more ownership. Or you are purposefully diluting the shares and ownership of other owners to give yourself more ownership. Doesn't that sound ... idk ... fishy? :|

There's a good reason why this was banned in the past but I digress.

Show me the money!!!

[I voted yes btw haha, it is realistic and possible in today's business world]
