Capitalism Lab Release version 6.9.04 installer now available

Capitalism Lab Release Version 6.9.04 full version installer has been released.

Please download and run the installer from https://caplab.b-cdn.net/Capitalism_Lab_Installer.exe

Please note that save games older than v6.9.00 are not compatible with this new version.

New Features and Improvements:

A New Headquarters Building
You can now build a shiny new headquarters building for your business empire.

New Feature - Shortcut for Acquiring Tech
A new button has been added to the Manufacturer Guide for acquiring technology from another company.

In the previous version, when there are many companies in the game and you are in advanced stages of the game and want to buy different technologies, and a lot of technologies, it sometimes takes a long time to do so and it also takes time to look for the right technology.

The new button allows you to quickly navigate to the technology page, making the process a breeze.

Note that the button is only available when you have a CEO office or CTO office in your headquarters.

New Person Portraits
2 new person portraits have been added to the game, increasing the maximum number of persons in a game by two.

Slightly improved the Factory Analysis mode button.

On the Product Details report, when the mouse hovers over a seller on the list, it will display a popup showing the retail store type or the firm description (if you have entered one) of the seller.

Gameplay Balance Improvements
Drugs have been taken out of convenience stores’ product list to strengthen the positioning of drug stores.

The freight index of strawberries has been changed to 50.

On the Build Firm menu, the following types of firms no longer have the display “Specialty Store – Demand Bonus” when you hover the mouse over them: 1) Supermarket 2) Convenience Store. In other words, they are not specialty stores.

The operating capacity of Computer Stores and Sport Stores has been increased.

New experimental script variables for customizing game logic

[CES DLC]
Disable Generating Apartments=Yes

Disable Generating Commercial Buildings=Yes

People Per House=2
//The average number of people living in a 1x1 low-rise residential houses. It is for calculating the town population.

Please note that these script variables are experimental in nature and are not officially supported. In the words, if it turns out that they do not work out well after the experiment, they may be removed from the game or be changed substantially.

Improvements
The game now displays “Operation:0%” on top of a civic building if its operation level is 0%, regardless of whether the building is being selected or not.

The COO management policy “Sell factory internal sale products at cost” now works better under all situations.

Bug Fixes
Fixed an issue that prevented the following from functioning properly for all buildings: display nearby buildings in transparency when the player highlights a building.

Fixed an issue where the English help text is displayed briefly before the translated text is displayed.

I created a city and had to issue bonds in its name.

It is put in this case: "sorry, the company". But we speak about a city, not a firm.

I have a problem with the word "firm" when I am the mayor of a city.

Indeed, I translate the word as "firm" or "enterprise". https://www.reverso.net/translationresu ... is-anglais

As the sentence refers to both "the company" and "the city", there are times when the term "entreprise" is not appropriate.

It's why it's could better the sentence with "building" and not "firm" when I am the mayor of a city.

That's because the CEO's salary is full of bugs, it's stuck and there's no way up or down, start a new game and build a headquarters and see if your salary is blocked.

I was pausing the game before creating the party, so I thought that was the reason ^^.

I created a HQ to see if my "salary" was 0 and it is not.

It seems that there is a random minimum wage at each game...

Even when the company has no income, the salary has a minimum that I can't increase or decrease.

Let me stop you right there, that's not the case at all. Working with the Portuguese translation, we notice a lot of places that can't be translated in the game and David takes that into account most of the time, if not every time.

They'll release a new DLC in the next update.

This will be fixed in the next version 7.0.00.

I understand that you meant, but certain types of firms like mines and oil wells are not "buildings". So we cannot just change the word.

It could be due to that the company is paying salaries to its CEO. To tell whether it is the case, you can check the personal cash of your character and see if it has been increased.

I started a new game to test and I was able to change the salary of the CEO in the headquarters without any problems.

If the problem persists on your side, you may send us your save game and we will look into it.
