New Feature Idea: Notes Section

I would love to have the ability to take simple notes in game that get saved in each individual game. Currently, I use notetaking software outside of the game to keep track of goals, next steps, etc.
I'm wondering how hard that would be for the developers to include? It could be simple text. It wouldn't have to be rich text or formattable. Just having a space in game where you could leave notes so that when you picked up the saved game in the future, you would know where you left off.
Does anyone have any thought on that? I think it could be a very useful feature for others.
