campaign in Cap II but not Cap Lab?

i read that Cap Lab is the latest and greatest version, still being worked on, DLCs etc etc
then i read the only reason to get Cap II is if you want to play multiplayer
so i buy the Cap Lab bundle with 3 DLCs (may or may not get the other 2 that i later found out about, if i'm still playing)
then a couple days later, just now - i'm reading the manual for Cap II as it turns out and it starts talking about a campaign
i look it up and realise Cap II has a campaign that Cap Lab doesn't
sigh, i'm not even sure why there's 2 versions in the fir$t place but is there a way to get the campaign for Lab? Or are the Lab scenarios the campaign missions or something?
if not i might email and see if i can get a copy of II for the campaign, showing my code for Lab or something. definitely won't be buying the other 2 DLC otherwise
