Fire and Police station effect...

You just build 3+ Fire stations and fire won't destory your and other buildings so often. Also the riots won't steel so much and often because of the 3+ Police stations.
So, in the city there have to be: 3+ Fire stations and 3+ Police stations.
Any comments and suggestions are welcome!

What about a Security Unit in your factories, stores and so on. They'll keep the building safe if hired.
The fire also happens in real life - but security spendings too. So why not implement it in the game?

Sorry, but my idea is: (this is even more simplified) - You just build 4+ fire and police stations and the fire won't destory your buildings and other buildings so often as now, and the police stations will make that riots won't steel so much and often.
Also, it will deal with the business, do you want that you lose your profits and revenues because of some kind of a fire or riots? Or you don't?

If you switch disasters off it'll never happen at all.

Yes, exactly what I was thinking.
In my opinion, fire stations and police stations are for the government to setup not for private industry. However if the idea were to be refined a bit...
If each business had an option to pay to have it's own private security force and it's own private fire fighting block then I could possibly see doing something like that, and then you can play with disasters turned on and the businesses that you have protected by private forces would perhaps have a lesser chance of something happening to it, in essence it would be another money sink in the game.
Perhaps they could add it to the unit building window so that we have to choose whether to have a private fire and police unit in that building or if we really need an advertising unit in that business.

Wouldn't it be better to have a Safety & Security Officer available then, one that you can hire from your HQ. If you pay him well less accidents will occur on your sites. Any other implementation takes the game too far away from the core I think: expanding your business empire.

Basically speaking, you WON'T be able to start operations in a factory/retail unit/storage/etc. if there is no Safety Officer/Unit present. The local firemen just won't sign the papers (: And fires, explosions and lock-outs do happen everywhere and always.
So basically that would be a redundant option.
