Hello,

I think it would be a great addition to have the ability to choose your starting expertise as a CEO. For example, I often have the "Casual Game" or "Simulation Game" expertise etc. I still haven't played as a video game company. I'd rather be able to tell my CEO to get an expertise in Semi-products or Beverage or whatever.
I don't think it would be much work to implement. Simply have a slide from which to choose the right product category.

Interesting, I may do that with the script. This should really be part of the setup though. It'd be more accessible, and would just make sense.

Edit : I tried to modify the script to include a Drugs expertise. It seems that it does not work. All the other lines (Retailing, Farming, Marketing expertises etc) work except that last one. I tried to copy/paste the line as shown in the sample scripts as well, but to no effect. Be it Apparel, Drugs or anything else, the product class expertise is randomly chosen for me.

Is it maybe because I use a modded portrait that is not registered as a person in the files ? I replaced existing portraits to import new ones, so it should not be that.

I just made a script with

[PLAYER EXPERTISE]
Product Expertise=Footwear, 100
Software Expertise = Operating System, 100
Internet Expertise = Search Engine, 80
Retailing=80
Farming=40
Manufacturing=100
Research and Development=80
Raw Material Production=60
Marketing=60
Training=40

and get (and i have modded portraits etc too)
