Capitalism Lab on Steam Deck?

I just got a Steam Deck OLED and am itching to install and play Capitalism Lab on it. I got it to install and it can run briefly if I check "Run after Install", but then can no longer start it after that.
The game also crashes on start. Is there any appetite to improve Steam Deck compatibility / recommended proton version for the best experience?
I'd love to play Capitalism Lab on the go, even if I'd have to squint a bit to read all the small print
