Adding 1x1 or 1x2 buildings

Post by counting »

A lot of the time due to block size, you got lots of "spare land" in the middle of the town, you can do nothing about. And the land value and traffic are both very high, it's just such a waste. Right now, I have to use the only 1x2 small commercial building to fill these space, but it won't fit most of them.

I think it's very reasonable to add smaller 1x1 or 1x2 buildings into the game representing stores like street-side shops, or dropping points as "warehouses", even possibly in the future as gas stations, parking lots, or restaurants, etc. They will be extremely useful, and as a store, it can have even lower setup/running cost, but also smaller through put (like show rooms when you need to "invade" a new market to test customer reaction). It can open more strategy options, like players can even be "street vendors" at very low capital start.

In the real world, successful businesses do rise up from humble lemon stands.

I agree, this is really a necessity.

This will be made possible with the next major update of the MOD kit which will support user-created buildings.
