I think this suggestion is great, but would be difficult to make viable exercise materials without more detailed and powerful scenario editor. It might also be difficult to interact with students for teachers without some multiplayer capabilities. Currently it's almost best to use some sort of demo playing showing concepts and let students to try them out at home.
